Good Events in Iraq

Always when I want to write anything about Iraq can't find good news to distribute over here. Each time when I want to read a newspaper, a crying Iraqi image on first page, bombing news, last update for Iraqi government…. etc which make anyone feel depressed!

And the Media always hide good news in a tiny TV program or Newspaper article and most of people used to read the headlines.

But one thing I really do believe in that, there are a lot of good things here happen despite all the violence events but the bombs smoke is hiding it from our eyes.

Like:

The 2nd annual Kurdistan DBX International Trade Show in Sulymania from 11th – 14th Nov 06, one of big events which reflect the good steps to build new Iraq!
Woman and great positions in the Iraqi Government, free mind and new rights!
Some great people are still going on to serve this country despite bomb blasts.
And those young still have dream in doing sport
What happen now for Sadir city, they were enjoying the reconstruction before… why all are fighting now? And why Media was covering the war and not the reconstruction movement!

"We are happy and pleased that we can gather to support, encourage and promote the participation of Iraqi business women in the rebuilding of the new state of Iraq," said Ms. Azza Khalil Humadi… I like what she's trying to do and her words have a special impact…. Let's improve

A lot of good events, really enjoyed reading it and hope it won't stop one day. Wish all Iraqis can take share in this because Iraq won't rebuild without Iraqis help.

God Bless Iraq and all innocents people ….

Thanks

I found a few items about positive happenings in Iraq.
Do you know this??I didn't know! How could we?
Did you know that 47 countries' have reestablished their embassies in
Iraq ?
Did you know that the Iraqi government currently employs 1.2 million
Iraqi people?
Did you know that 3100 schools have been renovated, 364 schools are
under rehabilitation, 263 schools are now under construction and 38
new schools have been built in Iraq ?
Did you know that Iraq 's higher educational structure consists of 20
Universities, 46 Institutes or colleges andresearch centers, all
currently operating?
Did you know that 25 Iraq students departed for the United States in
January 2005 for the re-established Fulbright program?
Did you know that the Iraqi Navy is operational? They have five100-foot
patrol craft, 34 smaller vessels andnaval infantry regiment.
Did you know that Iraq 's Air Force consists of three operational
squadrons, which includesreconnaissance andUS C-130 transport
aircraft (under Iraqi operational control) which operate day and
night, and will soon add 16 UH-1 helicopters andBell Jet Rangers?
Did you know that Iraq hascounter-terrorist unit andCommando
Battalion?
Did you know that the Iraqi Police Service has over 55,000 fully
trained and equipped police officers?
Did you know that there arePolice Academies in Iraq that produce
over 3500 new officers eachweeks?
Did you know there are more than 1100 building projects going on in
IraqThey include 364 schools, 67 public clinics, 15 hospitals, 83
railroad stations, 22 oil facilities, 93 water facilities and 69
electrical facilities.
Did you know that 96% of Iraqi children under the age ofhave
received the firstseries of polio vaccinations?
Did you know that 4.3 million Iraqi children were enrolled in primary
school by mid October?
Did you know that there are 1,192,000 cell phone subscribers in Iraq
and phone use has gone up 158%?
Did you know that Iraq has an independent media that consists of 75
radio stations, 180 newspapers and 10 television stations?
Did you know that the Baghdad Stock Exchange opened in June of 2004?
Did you know thatcandidates in the Iraqi presidential election had
a televised debate recently?
OF COURSE WE DIDN'T KNOW!
WHY DIDN'T WE KNOW? OUR MEDIA WOULDN'T TELL US!
Instead of reflecting our love for our country, we get photos of flag
burning incidents at Abu Ghraib and people throwing snowballs at the
presidential motorcades.
Tragically, the lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves two
purposes:
It is intended to undermine the world's perception of the United
States thus minimizing consequent support, and it is intended to
discourage American citizens.

Wow! More than amazing …thanks to let me know that there are other people still doing their best to serve this country.

Let me show a feeling of a peaceful Iraqi suffering when read these positive items:

Did you know that 47 countries' have reestablished their embassies in Iraq ? Great! But when one of these embassies could give visa to Iraqi!

Did you know that the Iraqi government currently employs 1.2 million Iraqi people? Amazing! But who will keep them safe from kidnapping as happen to so many offices!

Did you know that 3100 schools have been renovated, 364 schools are under rehabilitation, 263 schools are now under construction and 38 new schools have been built in Iraq? Yes! Great opportunities for contractors to steal money and most these schools are threaten to bomb now!

Did you know that Iraq 's higher educational structure consists of 20 Universities, 46 Institutes or colleges and research centers, all currently operating? Yes! And most of professors are threaten to kill so the best way for them to run away!

Did you know that 25 Iraq students departed for the United States in January 2005 for the re established Fulbright program? Fullbright! Amazing, but do you know who are these students and how the universities select them!

Did you know that the Iraqi Navy is operational? They have five100-foot patrol craft, 34 smaller vessels and naval infantry regiment. Did you know that Iraq 's Air Force consists of three operational
squadrons, which includes reconnaissance and US C-130 transport aircraft (under Iraqi operational control) which operate day and night, and will soon add 16 UH-1 helicopters and Bell Jet Rangers?
Did you know that Iraq has counter-terrorist unit and Commando Battalion? Did you know that the Iraqi Police Service has over 55,000 fully trained and equipped police officers? Did you know that there are Police Academies in Iraq that produce over 3500 new officers each week? I swear it’s great! But where those police officers when those insurgents kill the innocent people without any reason, and where are the army? Are they really involved with Militias and using terrible ways to revenge! War between religious sects?!

Did you know there are more than 1100 building projects going on in Iraq They include 364 schools, 67 public clinics, 15 hospitals, 83 railroad stations, 22 oil facilities, 93 water facilities and 69 electrical facilities. And bombs are enough too to destroy all that !

Did you know that 96% of Iraqi children under the age of have received the first series of polio vaccinations? Yes, this one which most of families are afraid to give to their children and said it’s a disease from US!

Did you know that 4.3 million Iraqi children were enrolled in primary school by mid October? Good and how many people runaway from Iraq forgotten that they have students and should complete studying!

Did you know that there are 1,192,000 cell phone subscribers in Iraq and phone use has gone up 158%? Yes I believe it’s great service to Iraqis despite of high costs and miserable network signals!

Did you know that Iraq has an independent media that consists of 75 radio stations, 180 newspapers and 10 television stations? Yes and many of them make us really depressed, and many people trying to not follow up it at all!

Did you know that the Baghdad Stock Exchange opened in June of 2004? Really? And is that something make Iraqis feel in PEACE?!

Did you know that candidates in the Iraqi presidential election had a televised debate recently? Great! And what they did for this country after the big support from people?!

Am sorry, am not trying to make other feel disappoint but that is an Iraqi feeling! When all people could live in Peace, not afraid to say that they are Shiatte or Sunni, when no bombs in their roads….etc , then they could feel the real happiness to see this country rebuild , let’s stop destroying movement so we could see the reconstruction in this country.

It was more than amazing to read all positive items that you wrote, hope those guys won’t stop one day and wish all Iraqis took share in rebuilding Iraq despite of their wounds!

Nibras was here and say Thank you!
